Santa Monica, CA — The YogAbility Institute extends an invitation to all senior adults who want to experience the benefits of its uniquely-tailored Yoga instruction at a pivotal time for enhancing and extending energy and strength. Instruction is carefully-designed and encouraged for both vibrant seniors and those with any age, rehabilitation or illness-related challenge. The YogAbility program is perfect for those who otherwise might hesitate to participate in other Yoga classes.

.

Founder and creator, Bea Ammidown is an experienced, certified master teacher whose special gift is making students feel welcomed and relaxed. She has created a safe and gentle program for increased flexibility, more effective breathing patterns, better circulation, sharpened focus and stress relief.  Effectively practicing the YogAbility technique has the potential to positively affect the body’s physical systems as well as to stabilize emotions and heighten awareness. An important part of this program is maintaining an atmosphere of safety and tranquility in which these important skills can flourish.

.

The YogAbility technique is a proven healing therapy that Ms. Ammidown developed and used for her own healing from a serious auto accident and has successfully applied to all types of preferences and special needs. She is fluent in Spanish and French and has been featured in the Yoga Journal, Yogi Times, LA Yoga Magazine, Ability Magazine and the Huffington Post Blog.  She has taught her method over the course of many years and numerous locations internationally.

.

An introduction and demonstration of the YogAbility technique can be viewed on the recently-released “Special Needs Yoga” DVD, where Ms. Ammidown works hands-on with students performing gentle yoga postures and stretches. LA Yoga’s DVD review says, “Experience the beauty of Yoga when a connection is made between a student and teacher filled with love.”
