YOGA AND WRITING

It is well known that expressive writing can relieve stress. And yoga certainly can, too! But how might the two combine? In this workshop, Bea Ammidown uses her skills as a certified yoga therapist to help you access the healing benefits of both writing and yoga. Join Bea for a relaxing and invigorating evening for both the mind and body! Bea Ammidown has taught internationally since 1986. Drawing on her own healing from a life-threatening auto accident, she has developed a safe and empowering program that applies the practice of Yoga and meditation as tools for rehabilitation from injury, surgery and chronic pain. She is the Executive Director of YogAbility, which is a therapeutic approach to yoga for people with special needs or disabilities. Bea is a registered yoga teacher with 500-hour R.Y.T. with Yoga Alliance and is trained in Phoenix Rising Yoga and a member of the International Association of Yoga Therapists. RSVP to 310-451-0598

. Learn to align different body parts with the intellect, the emotions and the spirit through a therapeutic practice and guided visualization. Inspire  and uplift the muscles in the brain and heart as well as in the body! Beginners and non-writers welcome. Please bring a  mat and a notebook.

“…… then Bea leaned on my back, encouraging it to go further-deeper into a napkin-like fold with smooth  breathing into this pose. A total relaxing- my body is so supple when my mind lets itself distribute the energy that is so often above my neck. My body, every blood vessel and corpuscle feel so intelligent. I am body full- my mind runneth over. I have cobra-ed and pelvis-ed and lifted—my mind is now aligned in a mysterious way with my body.” Dean James Loomos, Published writer and editor ———————————————————————————————————————————————————————–
